World No. 1 spearheads company's major push within the women's game
After her anticipated switch to PXG equipment, Lydia Ko will no longer have a Callaway driver in her bag.
Lydia Ko’s reported move from Callaway to PXG equipment is now official.
Parsons Xtreme Golf announced on Tuesday that Ko, the world’s top-ranked female player, has signed a deal to play PXG equipment.
PXG also has added U.S. Women’s Open champion Brittany Lang to its professional player roster, along with LPGA stars Christina Kim and Ryann O’Toole.
“Very excited and honored to be part of the PXG Troops!!!” Ko tweeted after the announcement.
PXG founder Bob Parsons said the company focused solely on signing LPGA talent in 2017.
“This year PXG is looking at golf and the tour from a global perspective,” Parsons said in a statement issued by the company. “In 2016 we saw remarkable growth in international sales, but we recognize that we have only scratched the surface.
“Tour validation is important, and the ladies tour is wildly popular in many countries. We had five exceptional ladies on staff in 2016 and this year that number has grown to nine. These players, as well as our top-notch PGA TOUR pros, will help us bring PXG’s unmatched technology to passionate golfers around the globe.”

Cristie Kerr, Alison Lee, Sadena Parks, Gerina Piller and Beatriz Recari already represent PXG on the LPGA Tour. PGA Tour pros signed to the company are James Hahn, Billy Horschel, Charles Howell III, Zach Johnson, Chris Kirk, Ryan Moore and Charl Schwartzel.
Johnson and Schwartzel are former Masters winners. Horschel is a former FedEx Cup champion.
But Ko is the biggest name yet signed by the company.
“It was always my dream goal to become world number one,” Ko said in the company’s statement. “Now that I have reached that benchmark in my career, I am focused on consistently playing the best golf I can.
“When I first hit PXG’s clubs I was extremely impressed by how they felt. They felt solid and the performance was – wow!”
